In Tuesday's league contest, the host Grimsley Whirlies basketball team scored a close 62-61 win over the Western Guilford Hornets.
The Whirlies (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Wesleyan Christian Academy got by Winston Salem Christian (Winston-Salem, NC), 93-68, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 17. Western Guilford will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Storm go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 83-80 non-league loss to Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC).
