In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Maple Lake Irish basketball team scored a good 58-47 triumph over the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder.
The Irish (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hinckley-Finlayson (Hinckley, MN). The Jaguars go into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Hinckley-Finlayson was dropped by Barnum (Barnum, MN), 79-39, in a league match.
The Thunder now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New York Mills for a non-league match on Thursday, December 18. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle will face a Eagles team coming off a 78-66 league win over Frazee (Frazee, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
