The Luverne Cardinals ice hockey team scored 8 points and held the visiting Windom Eagles to 0 in the Cardinals league victory on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now hold a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Ulm for a non-league bout on Friday, December 19. Luverne will play a Eagles team coming off a 2-2 league Fairmont (Fairmont, MN). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Windom moves to 0-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Marshall (Marshall, MN) to play the Tigers in a Southwest bout on Monday, December 22. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 4-0.
