Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL), 72-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oakwood upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Tuscola (Tuscola, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 27. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Tuscola lost 44-40 in their recent non-league bout against Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Blue Ridge Knights (Farmer City, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 20. Armstrong will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 53-32 non-league loss to Donovan (Donovan, IL).
