    The Steele Knights basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Smithson Valley Rangers to 38 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.

    The Knights now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Central for a 6A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, December 21. Steele will meet a Hornets team coming off a 74-42 league loss to Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 14-8.

    The Rangers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson (Buda, TX). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record.
