Kentucky High School Basketball - Murray topped by Calloway County

December 17, 2022: Murray, KY 42071

The Calloway County Lakers basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Murray Tigers to 34 in the Lakers league victory on Saturday.

The Lakers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Jessamine for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Calloway County will battle a Colts team coming off a 71-68 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Stanford, KY). The Colts record now stands at 1-4.

The Tigers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Mayfield (Mayfield, KY). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Mayfield prevailed over Marshall County (Benton, KY), 70-58, in a non-league contest.
