In Saturday's non-league outing, the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) basketball squad nipped the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM), by a margin of 46-40.
The Hawks (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 1-7 record. In their last outing, Centennial was tipped by Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 72-71, in a non-league outing.
The Cavemen now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Artesia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 20. Carlsbad will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 57-52 non-league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
