The Clarksville Panthers (Clarksville, AR) basketball nipped the host Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR), 50-45 in Saturday's league test.

The Panthers (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Dardanelle (Dardanelle, AR). The Sand Lizards go into the 4A Region 4 test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, Dardanelle got by Ozark (Ozark, AR), 65-57, in a league test.

The Bearcats now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Morrilton for a 4A Region 4 test on Wednesday, December 21. Mena will encounter a Devil Dogs squad coming off a 59-23 league win over Subiaco Academy (Subiaco, AR). The Devil Dogs record now stands at 6-4.
