In Saturday's league outing, the Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting KIPP Blytheville Thunder (Blytheville, AR), by a count of 59-17.
The Indians (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Hillcrest (Strawberry, AR). The Screamin Eagles go into the 1A Region 3 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Hillcrest smashed Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR), 52-43, in a league outing.
The Thunder now hold a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Mammoth Spring for a 1A Region 3 outing on Saturday, January 14.
