North Carolina High School Basketball - Union County thwarts Murphy

The Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) basketball knocked off the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 58-49 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Panthers (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Polk County (Benton, TN). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 7-3 record.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Swain County for a 1A Conference 43 test on Tuesday, December 20. Murphy will encounter a Maroon Devils squad coming off a 57-38 league loss to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 3-3.
