The Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), 59-55 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Whippets (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels go into the Eastern Connecticut I test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Ledyard was tipped by Fitch (Groton, CT), 71-34, in a league test.
The Centaurs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Stonington for a Eastern Connecticut II test on Tuesday, December 20. Woodstock Academy will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 83-48 non-league win over Plainfield (Central Village, CT). The Bears record now stands at 2-0.
