Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Marysville Indians (Marysville, CA), 43-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bear River upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bruins travel to Union Mine (El Dorado, CA) to clash with the Diamondbacks in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Diamondbacks go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Union Mine lost 46-40 in their recent non-league bout against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Casa Roble Rams (Orangevale, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Marysville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 40-39 non-league loss to El Dorado (Placerville, CA).
