The Alhambra Lions basketball team (Phoenix, AZ), was nudged 29-26 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ)
The Firebirds now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Youngker for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 17. Chaparral will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 47-38 non-league loss to Apollo (Glendale, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 3-5.
The Lions (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against North (Phoenix, AZ). The Mustangs come into the 6A Metro battle with a 4-6 record.
