Chapmanville Regional Tigers (Chapmanville, WV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), 50-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chapmanville Regional upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Summers County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 52-38 league win over Independence (Coal City, WV).
