In Saturday's non-league match, the host DeKalb Barbs basketball team scored a tight 37-33 triumph over the Marengo Indians.
In their next game, the Barbs meet the Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley match, on Thursday, January 5. DeKalb will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record.
With the defeat, Marengo moves to 6-7 on the year. The Indians travel to Wauconda (Wauconda, IL) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 20. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 8-3.
