The Lakota West Firebirds basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Sycamore Aviators to 34 in the Firebirds league triumph on Saturday.

The Firebirds now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simon Kenton for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Lakota West will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 60-56 league win over Walton-Verona (Walton, KY). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-2.

The Aviators (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Colerain (Cincinnati, OH). The Cardinals enter the Greater Miami contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Colerain was defeated by Princeton (Cincinnati, OH), 68-48, in a league contest.
