Mississippi High School Basketball - Parklane Academy thwarts Loyd Star

The Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), 54-45 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pioneers (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS). The Bobcats go into the MAIS 6A District 1 test with a 13-2 record.
The Hornets now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to West Lincoln for a 2A Region 7 test on Monday, December 19. Loyd Star will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 57-12 non-league win over Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Bears record now stands at 7-1.
