Philo Electrics (Duncan Falls, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting River View Black Bears (Warsaw, OH), 53-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Philo upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Electrics host Marietta (Marietta, OH) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-0. Marietta won 60-27 in their recent non-league bout against Belpre (Belpre, OH)

Next up, the Black Bears play the Tri-Valley Scotties (Dresden, OH) in a Muskingum Valley bout, on Wednesday, January 4. River View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
