North Carolina High School Basketball - Rosman routed by Avery County

Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), 77-14 in a league match.

With the victory, Avery County upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Vikings host Draughn (Valdese, NC) to face the Wildcats in a 1A/2A Western Highlands match on Thursday, December 19. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-7. Draughn lost 83-55 in their recent league match against Owen (Black Mountain, NC)

The Tigers now sport a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Heritage for a 1A/2A Western Highlands match on Friday, December 20. Rosman will face a Cougars squad coming off a 72-44 non-league win over Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 4-0.
