Maine High School Basketball - Belfast holds off Mount View

The Belfast Lions basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Mount View Mustangs to 51 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Erskine Academy for a B North game on Thursday, December 19. Belfast will confront a Eagles team coming off a 46-36 league loss to Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Mount View falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 3-0. Medomak Valley won 57-31 in their recent league game against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)
