The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) and the visiting Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX), observed Burleson's basketball team overcome Everman by a margin of 52-44.

The Elks (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX). The Wolves come into the 5A Region I District 8 challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Mansfield Timberview defeated Joshua (Joshua, TX), 70-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Seguin Cougars (Arlington, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Everman will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 60-38 league loss to Mansfield Summit (Arlington, TX).
