North Carolina High School Basketball - Butler triumphant over Garinger

December 17, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), observed Butler's basketball team overwhelm Garinger by a score of 66-17.

The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Panthers come into the 4A Southwestern challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Providence was routed by Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC), 71-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 18. Garinger will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 78-71 league win over Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC).
