In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Mercer Tigers basketball team scored a big 60-26 win over the Butternut Midgets.

The Tigers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI). The Hatchets come into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Tomahawk was trounced by Three Lakes (Three Lakes, WI), 69-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Midgets battle the Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI) in a Northern Lights contest, on Monday, January 6. Butternut will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record.
