In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Cheverus Stags basketball team scored a big 66-44 win over the South Portland Red Riots.

The Stags (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Bangor (Bangor, ME). The Rams come into the AA North contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Bangor was trounced by Lewiston (Lewiston, ME), 69-56, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Red Riots battle the Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME) in a AA South contest, on Friday, December 20. South Portland will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 72-65 league loss to Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME).
