The Fieldcrest Knights basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Heyworth Hornets to 39 in the Knights league triumph on Tuesday.

The Knights now have a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Eureka for a Heart of Illinois game on Friday, December 20. Fieldcrest will confront a Hornets team coming off a 58-41 league loss to Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Heyworth falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL) to confront the Cyclones in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 18. The Cyclones go into the game with a record of 3-6. Cornerstone Christian won 71-53 in their recent non-league game against Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL)
