In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Ouachita Parish Lions basketball team scored a close 54-49 triumph over the Franklin Parish Patriots.
The Lions (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Richwood (Monroe, LA). The Rams go into the non-league contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Richwood nipped Delhi (Delhi, LA), 72-60, in a non-league contest.
