In Tuesday's league contest, the host Kennard Tigers basketball team scored a big 82-47 triumph over the Zavalla Eagles.

The Tigers (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX). The Eagles go into the 1A Region IV District 27 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Apple Springs was trounced by Martinsville (Martinsville, TX), 49-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wells Pirates (Wells, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 contest, on Friday, December 20. Zavalla will attempt to better on its 5-11 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 14-6 record after their 55-50 league loss to Broaddus (Broaddus, TX).
