In Tuesday's league contest, the host Knott County Central Patriots basketball team scored a good 61-48 triumph over the Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars.

The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY). The Crusaders go into the District 53 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, June Buchanan was topped by Mountain Mission (Grundy, VA), 1-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars / Lady Cougars battle the Bath County Wildcats (Owingsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Letcher County Central will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 65-58 non-league loss to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY).
