The Lovejoy Leopards basketball squad (Lucas, TX), was nipped 52-51 in Tuesday's league test with the visiting Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX)

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 test, on Friday, December 20. Walnut Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Bearcats come into the test with a 8-9 record after their 58-49 league win over Greenville (Greenville, TX).

The Leopards (12-4) will now prepare for their test against McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region II District 9 test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, McKinney North was nipped by Denison (Denison, TX), 60-52, in a league test.
