The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) and the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), observed Miller County's basketball team overwhelm Quitman County by a score of 84-52.

The Pirates (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pelham (Pelham, GA). The Hornets come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Pelham trounced Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA), 48-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Quitman County will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 94-41 league loss to Calhoun County (Edison, GA).
