The Treynor Cardinals basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Missouri Valley Big Reds to 43 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pius X for a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. Treynor will confront a Thunderbolts team coming off a 73-59 non-league loss to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Missouri Valley falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Big reds host Griswold (Griswold, IA) to battle the Tigers in a Western Iowa contest on Thursday, December 19. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Griswold lost 54-38 in their recent non-league contest against Sidney (Sidney, IA)
