The Powell County Pirates basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting Model Patriots to 56 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the loss, Model falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Yellow Jackets go into the game with a record of 6-1. Williamsburg lost 72-61 in their recent non-league game against Barbourville (Barbourville, KY)
