The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) and the visiting Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL), observed Rock Island's basketball team overcome Normal Community by a margin of 57-48.

The Rocks (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs come into the Western Big 6 challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Geneseo dropped by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 57-27, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Ironmen battle the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Normal Community will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record.
