Texas High School Basketball - Athens succumbs to Van

The Van Vandals defeated the visiting Athens Hornets basketball squad by a final score of 48-36 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Vandals clash with the Brownsboro Bears (Brownsboro, TX) in a 4A Region II District 15 outing, on Friday, December 20. Van will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Bears come into the outing with a 13-8 record after their 48-46 league loss to Mabank (Mabank, TX).

The Hornets (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Lindale (Lindale, TX). The Eagles come into the 4A Region II District 15 outing with a 8-8 record. In their last outing, Lindale overcame Kemp (Kemp, TX), 58-19, in a league outing.
