The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX) and the host Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX), observed Del Valle's basketball team overwhelm Horizon by a margin of 44-15.

The Conquistadores (6-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Matadors come into the 5A Region I District 2 challenge with a 9-9 record. In their last challenge, Parkland was trounced by Hanks (El Paso, TX), 60-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Scorpions battle the El Dorado Aztecs (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Horizon will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Aztecs come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 66-39 league loss to Bel Air (El Paso, TX).
