Mississippi High School Basketball - Newton holds off Kemper County

The Newton Tigers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Kemper County Wildcats to 48 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now possess a 9-2 record.
With the loss, Kemper County falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 9-3. Northeast Lauderdale won 56-49 in their recent non-league game against South Jones (Ellisville, MS)
