The Lower Moreland Lions basketball team scored 79 points and limited the host Springfield Township Spartans to 50 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Upper Dublin for a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. Lower Moreland will play a Cardinals team coming off a 67-45 league win over Abington (Abington, PA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Springfield Township falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host William Tennent (Warminster, PA) to play the Panthers in a Suburban One - Freedom game on Friday, December 20. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 2-3. William Tennent won 54-30 in their recent non-league game against MAST Community Charter (Philadelphia, PA)
