In Tuesday's league contest, the host Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes basketball team scored a good 46-36 triumph over the Villa Joseph Marie Jems.

The Hurricanes (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA). The Lions go into the Catholic Academies contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart Academy topped Interboro (Prospect Park, PA), 52-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Jems confront the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic (Flourtown, PA) in a Catholic Academies contest, on Thursday, December 19. Villa Joseph Marie will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Magic come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 48-44 league loss to Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA).
