Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) and the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), saw Wheatland's soccer squad hold off Center by a count of 3-2.

The Pirates (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings enter the Foothill Valley League battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Oakmont tipped Marysville (Marysville, CA), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA) in a Foothill Valley League battle, on Thursday, December 19. Center will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Matadors enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Bear River (Grass Valley, CA).
