The Brantley County Herons basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets to 34 in the Herons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Herons now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fitzgerald for a non-league game on Friday, January 3. Brantley County will confront a Purple Hurricane team coming off a 74-37 non-league win over Coffee (Douglas, GA). The Purple Hurricane record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Wayne County falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Long County (Ludowici, GA) to confront the Blue Tide in a non-league game on Thursday, December 19. The Blue Tide go into the game with a record of 0-1.
