Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Petal Panthers (Petal, MS), 1-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Northwest Rankin moves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS) to meet the Fighting Irish in a non-league test on Saturday, December 21. The Fighting Irish come into the test with a record of 10-2. St. Patrick lost 1-0 in their recent league test against St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS)

The Panthers now sport a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Jones for a non-league test on Friday, January 3.
