    • Michigan High School Basketball - Mackinac Island victorious over Mackinaw City

    December 17, 2025: Mackinaw City, MI 49701

    In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Mackinac Island Lakers basketball team scored a good 45-32 triumph over the Mackinaw City Comets.

    The Lakers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Maplewood Baptist Academy (Kinross, MI). The Black Bears enter the Northern Lights match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Maplewood Baptist Academy was dropped by Cedarville (Cedarville, MI), 42-34, in a non-league match.

    The Comets now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whittemore-Prescott for a non-league match on Friday, December 19. Mackinaw City will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 61-5 non-league loss to Au Gres-Sims (Au Gres, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.
