The Augusta Elks (Augusta, MT) basketball nipped the visiting Belt Huskies (Belt, MT), 58-51 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Elks (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Shelby (Shelby, MT). The Coyotes go into the non-league test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Shelby got by Rocky Boy (Box Elder, MT), 67-57, in a league test.
The Huskies now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Centerville for a C District 8 test on Wednesday, December 22. Belt will encounter a Miners squad coming off a 64-59 league win over Geraldine/Highwood (Geraldine, MT). The Miners record now stands at 4-2.
