Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cranfills Gap Lions (Cranfills Gap, TX), 77-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Abbott upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Penelope (Penelope, TX) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 14-1.

Next up, the Lions play the Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Cranfills Gap will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
