Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lancaster Eagles (Lancaster, CA), 84-67 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Canyon upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Cowboys host St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA) to play the Valiants in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Valiants go into the bout with a record of 3-8. St. Genevieve lost 63-41 in their recent non-league bout against Granada Hills Charter (Granada Hills, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Littlerock Lobos (Littlerock, CA) in a Golden bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Lancaster will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Lobos go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 55-37 non-league win over Rosamond (Rosamond, CA).
