Edgewood Academy Wildcats (Elmore, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chambers Academy Rebels (LaFayette, AL), 49-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Edgewood Academy upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Wildcats host Macon-East Montgomery Academy (Cecil, AL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Macon-East Montgomery Academy lost 49-45 in their recent non-league bout against Autauga Academy (Prattville, AL)

Next up, the Rebels play the Hooper Academy Colts (Hope Hull, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Chambers Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 61-58 non-league win over Evangel Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL).
