Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ), 78-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Manalapan upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Braves travel to Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Rumson-Fair Haven lost 47-45 in their recent non-league bout against Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft, NJ)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Howell Rebels (Farmingdale, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Middletown South will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 38-28 non-league loss to Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ).
