Cossatot River Eagles (Cove, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hackett Hornets (Hackett, AR), 33-28 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Cossatot River improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Cedarville (Cedarville, AR) to confront the Pirates in a 3A Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Cedarville lost 41-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Elkins (Elkins, AR)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Charleston Tigers (Charleston, AR) in a 3A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Hackett will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 67-52 league win over Booneville (Booneville, AR).
