Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL), 39-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Seneca upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Fighting Irish host Serena (Serena, IL) to clash with the Huskers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Huskers go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Serena won 46-38 in their recent non-league bout against Putnam County (Granville, IL)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Dwight will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Minutemen go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 51-39 league loss to LeRoy (LeRoy, IL).
