Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL), 41-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Riverdale upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL) to play the Titans in a Three Rivers - West bout on Thursday, January 4. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 8-6.

Next up, the Panthers play the Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL) in a Three Rivers - West bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Erie-Prophetstown will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 55-32 league win over Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL).
